FASHION NATION 2011 @ SENAYAN CITY - FASHION TRAVERSE

Fashion Nation is a regular event every year held by Senayan City. This year the fifth times it will be held and the main theme for this time is "Fashion Traverse". It will be held at Promenade Atrium, Ground floor dan Main Atrium, Senayan City, 13 - 17 April 2011. According to them the concept of 'Fashion Traverse' is combination of dream and reality, the versatility of fashion through space and time, and the ability of adapting culture.

In this event Senayan City also make charity auction for breast cancer and 'Style Maker Awards', choosing three person among Jakarta socialites, artists which goes to singer Dewi Sandra, and models goes to Kimmy Jayanti. 

"Fashion Traverse" will be featured 6 designers: Denny Wirawan with “Viore D'Amore”, Didi Budiardjo's “Juxtapose”, Eddy Betty in “Edbe Love”, Ghea Panggabean's “Boho Chic”, Priyo Oktaviano with “Rainbow of Life” and Tri Handoko in “Color Me Block”.

and combined with cotton linen, satin duchess, organza and taffeta.

CONFASHION - Behind The Scene of Indonesian Fashion Label.

It's interesting to see how fashion designers doing their job to survive the fashion biz. Celebrating 25 years in fashion biz, Indonesian Fashion Designers Council, held an exhibition event that supported by 35 fashion designers such as Adesagi Kierana, Adrianto Halim, Ari Seputra, Barli Asmara, Carmanita, Chossy Latu, Dandy Burhan, Denny Wirawan, Didi Budiardjo, Eddy Betty, Era Soekamto, Edward Hutabarat, Ghea Panggabean, Hutama Adhi, Itang Yunasz, Kanaya Tabitha, Liliana Lim, Maartri Djorghi, Oscar Lawalata, Priyo Oktaviano, Rusly Tjhonardy, RM Prayudi, Sally Koeswanto, Sebastian Gunawan, Stephanus Hamy, Susan Budiharjo, Susie Hedijanto, Syahreza Muslim, Sutanto Danuwidjaja, Thomas Sigar, Tri Handoko, Tuty Cholid, Valentino Napitupulu, Widhi Budhimulia and Yongky Budisutisna.

The exhibition is divided into three different sections: the office, the workshop and the runway. It is really reflecting how fashion designers get their inspirations then compiled their ideas into the moodboard, creating the new designs, make the patterns and build the designs and launch their designs into runway. Supported by IFDC-IPMI designers Confashion is really capturing the Indonesian fashion journey through the time, made the exhibition become like fashion design museum and documentary of Indonesian fashion.
